Question Which Class?

Ok I've done most of them, except mesmer which I find is doable but not a fun PVE exp So I was wondering what the general concensus was.

I'd like to set this as a poll but I don't see the checkbox option at the bottom so I'll just list them. If a moderator would set it up as a poll for me that would be great, if not I'll still be reading all the responses.

Poll - Which class is the most viable/survivable with henchmen/heros?

1. mesmer - 0
2. warrior - 1 (16%)
3. assassin - 0
4. monk - 2 (32%)
5. paragon - 1 (16%)
6. dervish - 0
7. ranger - 1 (16%)
8. necromancer - 1 (16%)
9. elementalist - 0
10. ritualist - 0
11. necromancer - 0

And why do you feel that way?

me personaly its ranger all the way, cause they are one of the most verstile classes in the game, plus all of their various stances and bow attacks can keep enemys at bay, bad thing about them is that they need a farily high expertise attribute so they wont spend so much energy seeing as some of the attack will totaly drain your energy pool if your not careful( ex: concussion shot, Broad Head Arrow etc etc)

Warrior imo. Just waltz right into the monster's position and kill them. Repeat with another monster group and so on.

its pretty subjective to what your facing and what skills you have equiped, but i would probably have to say monk. a monk thats focused on himself is damn hard to kill.

IMO?

Anything, really, that's not Mesmer or Ranger. It gets annoying when you cast something on a foe, and find your whole team focusing on that character. I personally like Elementalist, as I'm used to playing it. Monk works, and Warrior works as well. Paragons are okay.

Paragon is the most logical answer, they have armor matching that of a warrior, they attack at a range, AND they help themselves an team mates with their shouts which typically buff damage meaning things are killed faster, which in turn means the faster somthing dies the less amount of time YOU have to die.

But being truly honest, warrior is the best because you dn't have to run around in a skirt

I think Monk is probably the worst class to play with hench and heroes because you cant really call targets and your job isn't really to attack anything either, and since the AI is so dumb, most of the times they just stand there if you are not attacking anything, apart from monk I think all classes are pretty much the same.

I think necro purely because u can just set up a minion army then just sit back and relax although I do find it very easy to hench things iwth a mes, I just call a target so all hench go for it then just switch, cast the spells i want then switch again

why the hell would u use glads armor to run and not sentinels? you'll have 13 strength anyway, so there's no reason not to run sentinels when ur running.

My mesmer does better with hench/hero group than my warrior. Dumb warriors are not a real problem; dumb casters are.
